Beijing Shijinglong Ski Slopes Resort
Introduction
Built in 1999 in Yanqing, about 100kms from Beijing City center, Shijinglong Ski Resort is the first one adopting snowmaking in China. The ski resort covers an area of 600 acreages, provides 7 slide ways, with total length of 5,000 meters. The most challenging one is 1,035 meters long and 300 meters fall, with the average grade of 16 degrees.
There are two secondary slide ways with the total length of over 1,000 meters. After the reconstructed in 2004, each has 135 meters fall, with the average grade of 14.6 degrees.
The primary slide ways are designed for ski jackeroos, approximately 3,000 meters long, with the average grade of 10 degrees. In the veneer entertainment area, the veneer enthusiasts could enjoy the wonderful experience of Veneer Skiing.
The ski resort holds two glider-cable cars, thereinto, the double cable car is 500 meters long, the four-person cable car 900 meters long. Meanwhile, other entertainment and leisure programs such as Veneer, snowland bicycle, sleigh, etc, making the choice according to your interesting.
The most worth of being mentioned is its Snow Sauna and hotspring bath. Deriving the distillate of foreign ski resort, in 2002 it offers two new themes: Snow Sauna and Hotspring Bath. The winter sun shines highly, after sliding from the high mountain like grassed lightning, making a bath in the warm hotspring. That kind of feel could not be expressed by words.

Dining
After you enjoy the skiing enthusiasm as much as you like, you could taste the local flavor of Yanqing: Huo Pen Guo, which means put a terrine on the brasier, add smoked streaky pork, cabbage, bean curd, together with soup-stock. Cabbage is put in the bottom , the three-color bean curd above it, smoked streaky pork in the topside. The most characteristic is the three-color bean curd, which is also the feature of the cuisine. The three colors are white, black, and green, made by soya beans, black beans, and mung beans, with different tastes. The cuisine is associated with three assisted pans, three bowls, three plates, and six spicy cold dishes. You will be full of praise after taking.
鈥Three Paris鈥, a caf茅 of ski-resort style, stands at the across of the primary slid way and secondary slid way, strengthen the taste of the winter leisure. Have a comfortable rest while skiing here, have a chat with your friends, or taste coffee slowly, gazing the snow outside quietly.
Transportation
1 Begin from Madian Bridge, along Badaling Highway to Yanqing county, westing 1kms by 110 national from Longqing Gorges to Huangbai Temple.
2 Take Bus No.919, get off at Yanqing Bus Station, then take Bus No. 920, stop at the ski resort.
