Taking the Beijing airport bus is the cheapest way to get to the downtown Beijing from Beijing Capital Airport or to Beijing Capital Airport from the city center of Beijing. But it is convenient only if you do not have much luggage or already know where the buses are going to drop you off.

So if you are going to use the airport bus for your airport transfer, you are kindly advised to know Beijing airport bus routes and fares before you decide to take it.

Beijing Capital Airport has three terminals - T1, T2 and T3. Each Terminal has its own airport shuttle bus terminal. All the three airport shuttle bus terminals have the same airport bus routes. Very often they all use the same bus for the same route if not enough passengers on the same bus. The three airport bus terminals have the same fares - RMB 16 per person for the bus transfer between the capital airport and the city center.

At the ticket desk there is a board showing the stops each bus route will take. The buses do not do unscheduled stops. There is no English spoken bus people. Buses go when full.

Terminal No.03 Shuttle Bus service:

The Terminal No.03 ( T3 ) is a huge 4-storey building. The T3 Bus Terminal is located outside the first floor of T3. Your arrival hall is on the second floor. That means you have to take a lift to the first floor and buy the bus ticket at the ticket desk there, and go out of the building. Once outside, you will see several rows of buses waiting by the side of big signboards showing different bus routes. Please check the signboards to find your right destination. Terminal No.02 Shuttle Bus service:

The Terminal No.02 ( T2 ) is a big 3-storey building. The T2 Bus Terminal is located outside the first floor of T2. Your arrival hall is on the first floor. So you just go out of the arrival hall. By the Gate No 5 of the arrival hall, you will find the Bus Ticket Selling Desk. All the buses are waiting by the side of big signboards showing different bus routes. Terminal No.01 Shuttle Bus service:

The Terminal No.01 ( T1 ) is a 2-storey building. The T1 Bus Terminal is located outside the first floor of T1. Your arrival hall is on the first floor. On the right hand of the hall, you will find the Bus Ticket Selling Desk and a cozy lounge for passengers waiting for the buses. All the buses are waiting outside the Gate 7 by the side of the signboards showing different bus routes. Please check the signboards to find your right destination. See the airport bus routes.

Free Inter-Terminal Shuttle Bus Service:

If you get to a wrong terminal or you want to have a transit at the different terminals of Beijing capital airport, you can use free Inter-Terminal Shuttle Bus Service.
Every 10 minutes, there is a free shuttle bus leaving from Terminal 3 for Terminal 2 and then Terminal 1, vice versa. Each bus takes about 10 minutes for one-way transfer.
