Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Your hotel in Beijing - Badaling Great Wall

Pick from your hotel in Beijing around 9:00am. First drive 85 km to the Badaling Great Wall, one of the most magnificent sections of the Great Wall in Beijing. Hiking the east part of the Badaling Great Wall for 2-3 hours. Cable car is available, but it is optional.


After lunch, then move on to a nice Great Wall Courtyard Inn lying at the foot of the Badaling Great Wall. Check-in and take a short break. the Great Wall Courtyard Inn is a Siheyuan-style building of Ming and Qing Dynasty. The courtyard is about 500 meters away from Badaling Great Wall and 1000 meters away from Badaling Broken Great Wall.


After 2-3 hours of climbing on the Great Wall, the hot spring is the perfect place to wash off the dirt and relax your body. The Huaxia Hot Spring is at a 20 minutes drive from the courtyard horel. The water from the spa comes from 2000 meters deep and its natural temparature is 54 C. There are 20 different types of pools and in total there are 32 some of the pools are inside others are outside. There are hot and cold pools, buble baths, hot stone beds, water massage pools, pools with flowers, there is a swimming pool and a pool with little fishs who eat your dead skin.There is also a sauna and you can have many different types of massages based on ancient Chinese medical knowledge.


After hot spring soaking, you are transferred back to your courtyard hotel by the Badaling Great Wall for the night and have a nice dinner at the courtyard hotel. ( L D )

Day 02: Shijinglong Ski Resort - Midtown Hotel in Beijing

After breakfast at the hotel, today we will bring you to Shijinglong Ski Resort in Yanqing District, about 30 km away from the Badaling Great Wall. This ski resort covers about total 3 trails, central trail 80 meters wide; 600 meters long and slopes with drop about 135 meters; the eastern trail 1000 meters long and 40-100 meters wide for high-level skier. You will enjoy 4-hour ski at the ski resort. After Chinese lunch, drive back to your hotel in Beijing. ( B L )

1. The Badaling Great Wall is the well preserved Ming Dynasty Great Wall with original appearance. Now it is divided into two sections - east and west starting at the Badaling Pass and Gate. Most people prefer to climb the east section where the highest watch tower is located.

2. Some tourists don't choose the Badaling Great Wall. They think Badaling Great Wall is too touristy! "Tourity" is now a bad word for any tour desination. But why is it too touristy? It is "too touristy" because Badaling Great Wall is the most gorgeous of all the five sections of the Great Wall around Beijing. The Badaling Great Wall is worth being listed on your Great Wall hiking travel plan.

3. Do I have a private dressing room to change my clothes before I go to the public hot spring pools for bathing?
No, you have to change your clothes in a big public dressing room. If you feel awkward changing your clothes in the public, please forget the tour.

4. Tell us something about the public hot spring pools.
All the public spring pools are open-air with lots of people, women and men wearing swimming suits bathing. On weekends, you are expecting even more crowds of visitors. So, it's better to avoid the weekends.

5. If you want to travel lightly for your ski trip to Beijing without bringing your own ski clothes, this never causes any problem since all the ski resorts offer ski clothes rental of ski jackets of all sizes with some amount of deposit of RMB 200 per person.
