Gaobeidian urbanized village - A closest ancient village in Beijing, about over 20-minute drive from the center of Beijing. Now it is more like an urbanized village than a rustic countryside. Most of local landless farmers live on land lease, but still keep some aspects of Chinese traditional way of life.

Hancunhe modern village - Once a poor village, Hancunhe has now become one of the nation's model villages. You can find such facilities like park, department store, hotel, swimming pool, cinema, travel agency, post office, hospital and education center.

Zhuishikou common village - The village is sandwiched by the hills with a stream in front of its entrance. It is a very common village you can find on the outskirts of Beijing. This village is one of the 30 villages under Changling Township in Changping District. There are 140 households in the village with about 450 villagers.

Chuandixia ancient village - The village is located in the west area of Mengtougou District. It is well known for its well preserved over 600 Ming and Qing dynasty-style houses housed by 70 families. These houses are contructed on the side of a hill, surrounded by mountains and forests.
