Chunhuiyuan Hot Spring Resort and Jiuhua Spa & Resort Actually have the same springhead - Xiaotangshan hot spring. Xiaotangshan has been famous for its hot springs for over 300 years. Local legend has it that the imperial family of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) went there to relax. The temperature of water here ranges from 29 C to 90 C. People have used hot spring water in therapeutic baths for more than 200 years to treat rheumatism and other ailments.

Huaxia Hot Spring is by the Badaling Great Wall. The water from the spa comes from 2000 meters deep and its natural temparature is 54 C. There are 20 different types of pools and in total there are 32 some of the pools are inside others are outside.

All the public spring pools are open-air with lots of people, women and men wearing swimming suits bathing. On weekends, you are expecting a good number of people. The best odds for a quiet soak is on a weekday during the off-season.
