Bird’s Nest (Beijing National Stadium)
Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed “Bird’s Nest”, is located in the center of Beijing Olympic Park. It was the site for the opening and closing ceremony for the Olympic Games in 2008. It was the place where Usain Bolt of Jamaica broke the world record by winning both the 100 and 200 gold medals at the Olympics.

Water Cube (Beijing National Aquatics Center)
National Aquatics Center, nicknamed “Water Cube”, is located in the Olymoic Park, north of Beijing.It is dubbed “cube” because of its semi-transparent “bubbles” spread out all over its surface with a shape very similar to the structure of “H2O”. It was the place where Michael Phelps of America makes history with 8 Gold Medals in the 2008 Olympic Games Beijing!

Chang’An Avenue
Chang’An Avenue is regarded as the longest and widest street in the world. It is also reputed as “The First Street in China”, one of the most significant streets in China. Chang’An Street is an east-west axis avenue starting Dongdan in the east and Xidan in the west. Beijing Tiananmen Square is located on the south of the mid Chang’ An Avenue while Tiananmen Tower on the north.

Guomao Area (China World Trade Center Tower III)
China World Trade Center Tower III is the tallest skyscraper in Beijing with 81 floors, 4 underground floors, and 30 elevators. It is located in vicinity of Beijing Business District, close to China World Hotel and Dabeiyao. It is the third phase of development of the China World Trade. Floors 79 to 81 are used for a restaurant and an observation deck.

Shichahai Area
“Shichahai” literally means “Ten Temples Lake”. The lake was once circled by 10 temples, hence the name. The lake was called “Haizi”, a long and square lake in Yuan Dynasty (1271 -1368). Later the lake was narrowed and divided into three connected lakes – Qianhai (Front Lake), Houhai (Back Lake) and Xihai (West lake) in Ming Dynasty (1368 -1644).
Shichahai Area has become a leisure and summer cooling place even since Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1911). Now Shichahai area is rife with bars and restaurants.

Qianmen Street
“qianmen” literally means “Front Gate”. Qiamen Street is located south of Qianmen Tower in south of Tiananmen Square, hence the name of the street. It lies on the north and south axis of Beijing. Qianmen Street runs south from Tiananmen Square, just along the Beijing central axis. It is one of the last remnants of the business centers of old Beijing. It has been transformed into a modern commercial pedestrian street, the second walking street after Wangfujiang Street in the downtown shopping ditrict Beijing.

Sanlitun Bar Street
Sanlitun Bar Street is one of the most well known bar streets in Beijing with its first bar opened in 1983. It is located to west of Worker’s Stadium, in the vicinity of the foreign embassy area. Sanlitun’s bar street is extremely popular for expats and young men to blow off steam, party and drink.

The Palace
The Place is mainly composed of the huge screen in the middle and two luxury buildings on its both sides. People walk around under the screen enjoying the space art, high technique, lighting. The Place is alao a place for luxury shopping and gourmet experience. There are several open-air bars for you to relax. The Place is a blend of shopping mall, office building, Space Art and Fashion. The Place is designed by Jeremy Railton. He is also the designer for the world largest electric screen in Las Vegas. The Place is located about 500 meters north of Guiyou Mansion or Silk Market Building. It is in the center of CBD (Central Business Center).

CCTV Tower
( China Central Television Tower ) or CCTV Tower that we mention here is different from China Central Television Headquarters Building (New CCTV Tower). The latter is the headquarters of China Central Television. The New CCTV Tower is in the east of Beijing while CCTV Tower is in the west of Beijing. CCTV Tower is the tallest structure in Beijing with the height of 405 meters including the tip of its antenna. In the evening, you will see a Beijing resembling a wonderland with lighting all over the city. The tower itself goes red like a giant red lantern. of course, having dinner on the revoving resturant is very romantic with a lit Beijing down below.
