Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Urumqi ( L D )

Arrival in Urumqi, met by our tour guide in Urumqi and transferred to your hotel in Urumqi. After lunch, visit Xinjiang Regional Museum. The Xinjiang Regional Museum is a large integrated museum and centre for the collection and study of cultural relics in Xinjiang. It is divided into 2 sections - one for archeological treasures from the Silk Road and the other for the province' minority cultures.

Then return to the city center of Urumqi. Before dinner, have a short city tour of the bazaar - Urumqi International Bazaar, locally called "Erdaoqiao Bazaar", located at No.160 Shengli Street of Urumqi city, it boasts a total area of 100,000 square meters, largest bazaar in the world. Return to your hotel in Urumqi.

Day 02: Urumqi - Bole by overnight train ( B L )

Pick up from your hotel in Urumqi, drive 120km to Tianchi Lake. Tian Chi - The name literally means "Heaven Lake" or "Heavenly Lake. This Tianchi lies on the north side of Bogda Peak of Tianshan Mountains, about 120 km east of Urumqi. It is an alpine drift lake shaped in the Quaternary Glacier period.

After lunch, transfer back to the city of Urumqi. Afternoon free on your own till your transfer to Urumqi Train Station and take overnight train No.5801 ( 21:59 - next morning 9:15 ) for Bole - a seat city of Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture.

Day 03: Bole - Yining by road ( B L D )

Arrival at Bole at 9:15am. First drive 60km from the train station to the city of Bole. Then continue to drive 140km to Sarim Lake. The lake is a alpine cold water lake and the largest alpine lake in Xinjiang.

After lunch, drive 90km to Huoerguosi Port (Korgas Port) for a short tour. Huoerguosi Port is a border port between China and Kazakhstan. After visiting the Huoerguosi Port, take another 90km drive to the city of Yining. Stay at a hotel in Yining.

Day 04: Yining - Nalati Grassland by road ( B L D )

After breakfast, drive 300km to Nalati Grassland, tay at your hotel in Nalati. The Nalati Grassland is dense with grasses at that time. The Nalati Grassland is the sub-alpine meadow of the Gongnaisi Grassland which is one of the four largest grasslands of the world. Stay at a hotel in Nalati.

Day 05: Nalati - Yining by road ( B L D )

After breakfast, drive 300km back to Yining. On the way, you have the chance to enjoy the fantastic view of Ili River and its beautiful valley.
Stay at your hotel in Yining.

Day 06: Yining - Bole by road - Urumqi by overnight train ( B L D )

Today you enjoy free activities in Yinning. Then take 5-hour drive ( 320km ) to Bole and take overnight train no.5802 ( 21:23 - next morning 8:29 ) for Urumqi.

Day 07: Arrival in Urumqi ( B )

Arrival in Urumqi at 8:29am, met and transferred either to Urumqi airport or Urumqi Train Station. Or you are free on your own.
