Tianjin Tour
Tianjin is one of the four municipal cities under the direct jurisdiction of the central government and is the largest industrial and port city in north China. At the end of 2009, the population of Tianjin Municipality was 12.28 million.
Tianjin is 120 kilometres southeast of Beijing, borders on the Bohai Sea in the east. It covers an area of 11,300 square kilometers and there are 13 districts and 3 counties under its jurisdiction.
There are dozens of daily bullet trains as well as two expressways connecting Beijing and Tianjin. Tianjin Binhai International Airport is located 15 km east of Tianjin, connecting to 57 cities domestically and internationally with 71 airlines in operation. Tianjin Port is the largest man made seaport and river port in mainland China, 60 kilometers from the city center of Tianjin. Very often people use the term "Xingang Port" to mean "Tianjin Port".
Tianjin has rich tourism resources. Tianjin was once home to foreign concessions in the late Qing Dynasty and early Kuomintang (KMT) era, which has left a large number of cultural relics, especially the buildings with European style architecture. New Tianjin and old Tianjin are properly matched in a way people get the feel back to the old days for a moment, and then again modern days on their day trips.
