Train Travel to Hangzhou
Hangzhou has two main railway stations: Hangzhou Railway Station and Hangzhou South Railway Station.Hangzhou Railway Station
It is the major train station, centrally located at at 1, Huan Cheng Dong Lu, Shangcheng District, and hosts the trains arriving at Hangzhou as a terminal station. The trains from Hangzhou Railway Sation link Hangzhou to over 30 major cities, including bullet and high speed trains to Shanghai, Beijing, Ningbo, Yiu, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Nanchang, Xiamen, Ningbo, Jinhua, Wenzhou. Over 100 high-speed trains go between Hangzhou and Shanghai from early 06:32 to around 21:00, taking 45 to 60 minutes per ride, RMB131 for a first-class seat and RMB82 for a second-class seat.
Five high speed trains run between Hangzhou and Beijing, taking 6 hours and 26 minutes as well as three overnight T or Z trains going between the two cities.
Train tickets can be easily bought at the train station and other ticket offices dotted around the city as well as in the hotels.

Flight Travel to Hangzhou
Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is about 30 km east of the center of Hangzhou city. There is a 17.6kms long airport special path connected with Hangzhou city. The terminal for the shuttle bus in airport is in the north side of Exit 5, Arrival Hall, on the first floor of the terminal building. Hangzhou has a humid subtropical weather with hot, sticky summers and chilly winters. Later and June are the rainy season hitting hard in Hangzhou.
The best time to travel to Hangzhou is April, May, September and October, when the trees and flowers of this garden city are green or in full bloom. The weather either not too hot or chilly.

Hangzhou City Layout
Hangzhou is a garden city which layout is set proportionally and dimensionally into three parts – West Lake, Hills on the West Lake' thee sides (north, south and west), the city to the east of the West Lake. So, the verdant hills, green waters, and beautiful city - the three parts are well mached! The Qiantang River passes the south edge of Hangzhou city. Hangzhou Xianshan Airport is located just east of the Qiantang River. Hangzhou Railway Station is located just east of the West Lake in the city center.
Get around in Hangzhou
Hangzhou is a bike friendly city. Bicycle hire is available in your hotel, or along the West Lake. Check out the bike, especially the brakes before you pedal off.Boating on the West Lake is your highlight in Hangzhou. Cruise boats depart from the east, north and west shores, crossing the lake and visiting the two islands on the lake. You join the shuttle boats, or buy a ticket for a private ride. For a romantic evening, you may take a night boat under the stary sky.
Hangzhou public buses are clean and useful. K7 and Y2 are mostly used from Hangzhou Railway Station, passing by the West Lake and ends at Lingyin Temple. K56 runs from Hangzhou East Bus Station to Yan'an Lu. K15 and Bus 15 link Hangzhou North Bus Station to the downtown area. Y1 goes around the West Lake and stops at Lingyin Temple.
Y5 will take you the Six Harmonies Pagoda by the Qiantang River. Y3 runs around the West Lake, then goes to China Silk Museum, China Tea Museum, Longjin Village and Southern Song Imperial Kiln Musuem.
Metered Hangzhou Taxi is everywhere. Hangzhou has over 8,000 taxies which provide a quick and convenient for both domestic and international passengers. The present number of taxis in Hangzhou is enough to meet the need of the market demand. So, it is both convenient and comfortable to take a taxi in Hangzhou.
