Day 01: Arrival in Xian
Arrival in Xian, met and transferred to your hotel in Xian. Free for rest of the day. ( D )
Day 02: Xian
Full day tour includes the excursion to Terra-cotta Army, the 6,000 life-size terra-cotta warriors and horses unearthed from the tomb of the first emperor of the Oin Dynasty were acclaimed as the "eighth wonder" of the world. Then move on to Big Goose Pagoda. After that visit Xian City Wall - a symbol of great significance of the famous historic cultural city of Xian. Go on visit with the Bell Tower and the Great Mosque. Day 03: Xian
Morning tour of Xian covers Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum, a large modern museum of the national level. After lunch, take flight from Xian to Lanzhou, met and transferred to your hotel in Lanzhou. After lunch, visit White Pagoda Park, Yellow River, and the Iron Bridge. (B L D )
Day 04: Lanzhou--Xiahe by road
Morning excursion to Liujia Gorge. Take the fast speed boat across the Gorge Resevoir, the first reservoir built on Yellow River. There you visit the Bingling Temple, an old temple with buddha grottoes. After lunch, drive from Bingling temple to Xiah which talks about five hours. Xiahe is well noted for its old Laprung Temple. Xiahe is densely populated by Tibetan people. ( B L D )
Day 05: Xiahe--Lanzhou
Morning tour of the Laprung Temple. After lunch, drive back to Lanzhou which takes about hours. Stay at your hotel in Lanzhou ( B L D )
Day 06: Lanzhou--Wuwei by road
After breakfast take 4 hours' drive Lanzhou to Wuwei. Afternoon tour includes Lei Tai-ancient Han dynasty tomb site, Han Dynasty Tomb, Wen Miao Temple. In this museum, you can find many of the antiques existant from Western Xia dynasty. ( B L D )
Day 07: Wuwei--Zhangye by road
After breakfast, take three and half hours' drive from Wuwei to Zhangye. The afternoon tour includes Giant Buddha of Zhangye - the longest indoor statue in China. Wood Pagoda Temple - the biggest wood structure pagoda in China. ( B L D )
Day 08: Zhangye--Jiayuguan by road
After breakfast, take three hours' drive from Zhangye to Jiayuguan area . After lunch, visit Jiuquan Park -the noted general Huo Qu Bing in Western Han Dynasty buried here, the Watching Tower on the Jiayuguan Great Wall, the Suspension Great Wall, the underground Tomb with frescoes kept intact from Wei and Jin dynasty. Day 09: Jiayuguan -- An Xi by road
After breakfast, take three hours' drive from Jiayuguan to An Xi. Stay at An Xi Hotel. After lunch, visit Yu Lin Grottoes famous like Dunhuang Mogao grottoes, made almostin the same time as Mogao in 4th century. ( B L D )
Day 10: An Xi--Dunhuang by road
After breafast, take two hours' drive from An Xi to Dunhuang. After lunch, visit Yang Guan Pass and Yumen Pass, both famous ancient passess, Han Dynasty Great Wall - ancient Great Wall left from Han. ( B L D )
Day 11: Dunhuang
Full tour in Dunuang includes the visits to Mogao Grottoes. Otherwise known as the Cave of the One-Thousand-Buddhas, it was built in 366 A.D. The 492 grottoes boast mural paintings, totalling 45,000 square meters and 2,000 painted figurines. Then visit the Sand Hill and Moon Crest Spring - a crescent-shaped lake in the oasis. ( B L )
Day 12: Dunhuang--Turpan by train
Half day tour still in Dunhuang covers City Museum and city tour. After lunch, transferred to the Liu Yuan Station for the overnight-train from Dunhuang to Turpan by soft sleeper. ( B L D )
Day 13: Turpan
Early morning arrival in Turpan, met and transferred to your hotel in Turpan. After lunch, visit Jiaohe Ancient City Ruins, Gangchang ancient city ruins - one of the best-preserved ancient city ruins in China, and once was a key point along the Silk Road, Thousands of Buddha Caves where many of Silk Road Travelers stopped here to pay for a successfully journey, Astana Tomb- where the ancient people are buried and famous for its terracotta figurines and tomb paintings. Day 14: Turpan
Full day tour still in Turpan includes the visits to City Museum, Desert Botanical Garden, Grape Yard, Mosque, and Sugong Pagoda - the only Islamic tower among the hundred famous towers in China. ( B L )
Day 15: Turpan--Urumchi
After breakfast, take three hours' from Turpan to Urumchi. After lunch, drive from Urumqi to Heavenly Lake that a lake boasts both splendid natural scenery and legendary talessituated on Tianshan Mountain. There you will take boat cruising on the lake. Transferred back to the city of Urumqi. Staying at your hotel. ( B L )
Day 16: Urumchi--Nanshan--Urumchi by road
Full day Excursion to Nanshan mountain which takes about one and half hour. Visit the pastureland, the yurt family and have the pasture activity there. Transferred back to Urumchi. ( B L D )
Day 17: Depart Urumchi
Transferred to the airport for the flight to your destination. ( B )
