TripAdvisor
We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Zhejiang Map china_travel_guide zhejiang
Hangzhou as its capital, Zhejiang is a coastal province south of Shanghai and Jiangsu Province. It is one of the smallest, but most developed provinces in China. Hangzhou is the most visited destination as well as the transport hub jumping off for exploring further in the province.

Zhejiang has much more to offer beside the garden city of Hangzhou, which is only a half-hour high speed train ride from Shanghai. There are the old world charm in the north of the province - the old arched stone bridges, a network of rivers and canals that crisscross a slew of water towns; the most well known lush island off the east coastline, the famous Buddhist island - Putuoshan, the abode of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy, one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains.

The mist- and tree-shrouded slopes of Mount Mogan is a pleasant getaway noted for its cool temperatures during the region's scorching summers; your side trip down south from Hangzhou to the villages of Xinye and Zhuge brings you back to the old days with its fabulous traditional architecture and idyllic charm.
