TripAdvisor
We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Hunan Tour

Hunan Hunan Province is situated on the south of Dongting Lake ( the second largest fresh water lake in China), hence the name "Hunan" which literally means "south of the lake". Hunan Province is also nicknamed "Xiang" named after the 817km Xiang River, the largest river in Hunan, passing Yongzhou, Hengyang, Changsha and emptying itself into Dongting Lake linked to Yangtze River. Hunan is dubbed as "Furong Kingdom " mainly due to the fact that it has a long tradition of the hibiscus petals (Furong in Chinese) raising and planting.

Hunan Province has its direct administration of 12 cities, one autonomous region and 212 counties with its capital at Changsha. Shaoshan and Changsha, the revered birthplace of Mao Zedong and more former communist leaders from Hunan including Liu Shaoqi, Peng Dehuai and Hu Yaobang.

Hunan is also blessed with some of China's most beautiful landscapes and fecund scenery. Wulingyuan Scenic Area was listed with UNESCO World Heritage 1990. Mt. Langshan is a national geopark, a best place to see the Danxia Landscape. Hengshan Mountain is one of the Five Great Mountains in China.

Fenghuang (Phenix Ancient Town) is a well-preserved ancient town with many distinctive architectural remains of Ming and Qing styles. Dehang is a Miao hamlet offering a wide range of treks into picturesque countrysides and karst peaks. Hongjaing Old Town recalls the town's Qing-dynasty prime day as a financial center.
