Just a quick email to thank all at Tour Beijing for a brilliant 3 days tour from Beijing to Jinan, Qufu and Mt.taishan. All the guides spoke English really well and each had an amazing knowledge of the local area and history. The hotels were fantastic. I will be recommending Tour Beijing to anyone visiting China for the tremendous support I received both in person and over the phone. Airport Mt. Tai
Taian is 90 kilometers away from Jinan Yao Qiang Airport, but there is no direct bus between them. If you take plain or get off to tour Mt. Tai, it is must to transfer in Jinan.
There are return tour buses between the center of Jinan and Yao Qiang Airport, then take taxi in Jinan to railway station to Taian.
The bus route from Yao Qiang Airport to city center (one bus per hour from 6:00am-17:00pm): take bus at the exit of the airport. Pass through Huangtai-North end of Li Shan Road-Coach Station.
Highway Mt.Tai
The highways of Taian City are developed, arriving at Beijing, Shanghai, Fuzhou, and some cities of Shandong province directly. It is 63 kilometers from Taian to Jinan, about 68 kilometers from Qufu, so you can get within one hour no matter by bus or train.
Most of the coaches are in the Taian Bus station, divided into the new station and old station. The old one is situated in the south of Mt.Tai railway station, bus No.2, 5, 11, 14, 18, 28, 40 through there. The new one is about 2 kilometers from Mt.Tai railway station, bus No. 1,4,5,10,11 through there. From Jinan to Taian by coach will take 1.5-2 hours.
Qufu
Qufu Bus Station is located in No.1, Jingxuan east road, the north of 327 national highway. Draw near to Kong Family Mansion, Temple of Confucius, and Cemetery of Confucius. It holds less coaches to other provinces.
The coach to Jinan began from 6:00am-21:00pm, one coach per 20 minutes.
Railway Mt. Tai
Trains in Mt. Tai Railway Station are direct through to the main cities and ports of China. It take about 4.5 hours to Beijing, and 6.5 hours to Shanghai.
Mt.Tai railway station is the central hinge of the Mt. Tai tour transportation, surrounded by several bus stations of Taian. If you are not familiar with the transportation of Taian, it is suggested that you go to the railway station firstly, then take your needed bus to different scape area.
The railway station is 2.5 kilometers from the entrance of Red Gate, 12 kilometers from Peach blossom Valley, and 18 kilometers from Tian Zhu Peak.
Qufu
Qufu railway station is very small, only a little trains through to Beijing, Henan, etc., Yan Zhou station is the only way for Qufu Tour. Generally, tourists have to get Yan Zhou by train firstly, then take the bus to Qufu. In addition, you could get off at Qufu Cheng Nan, then take bus No. 5 to the city center.
Tips:Yan Zhou Railway Station is opposite to Yan Zhou Bus Station, separated by a street. The bus starts from 6:00am-21:30pm, one bus per 15 minutes.
