Just a quick email to thank all at Tour Beijing for a brilliant 3 days tour from Beijing to Jinan, Qufu and Mt.taishan. All the guides spoke English really well and each had an amazing knowledge of the local area and history. The hotels were fantastic. I will be recommending Tour Beijing to anyone visiting China for the tremendous support I received both in person and over the phone. Qufu - Jinan - Beijing
After breakfast at Queli Hotel and buy the return bus ticket to Beijing on July 13, 2008
Queli Hotel offers normal buffet breakfast, not so international. But it is ok. Actually I have no mood to have breafast since I still haven't booked my return bus ticket to Beijing. All the train tickets are sold out. So I have to try my luck with the long distance bus ticket.
But to my disappointment, there is no direct bus from Qufu to Beijing. I have to go to Jinan and connect the bus from Jinan to Beijing. My disappointment doesn't last long because I have two hours' transfer in Jinan, enough time to visit Baotu Spring, a historic and cultural site I have missed in my privious trips to Jinan. So sometimes bad things can be turned into good things and you cannot have everything under control, but you should have the flexibility to deal with what will happen in your life.
Confucius Temple
Confucius Temple was built in 478 B.C, a place for offering sacrifices to Confucius in various dynasties.
Confucius Family Mansion
Confucius Family Mansion was the government office and private mansion of Confucius descendants.
Confucius Family Graveyard
Confucius Family Graveyard is a graveyard for Confucius and his descendants, the largest, the oldest and the best preserved religious tombs and gardens.
Qufu Bus to Jinan and again connect the bus to Beijing
The bus to Jinan takes us 2 hours along the Jingfu Highway. The drive is fast and comfortable. Actually taking the long distance bus is also a good choice of inter-city transportation. The Jinan Long Distance Station is large and clean. There are many buses from Jinan to Beijing every half hour. I have two hours in between, so I deposit my small luggage and take a taxi to the Baotu Spring Park. Jinan is the capital of Shandong province, it is also named "The Spring City". Jinan is well-known all over China for its springs and lakes. Baotu Spring Park ranks the first among the 72 local springs.
