Just a quick email to thank all at Tour Beijing for a brilliant 3 days tour from Beijing to Jinan, Qufu and Mt.taishan. All the guides spoke English really well and each had an amazing knowledge of the local area and history. The hotels were fantastic. Shandong is the coexistence of romantic Qi Country and traditional Lu Country. Lu Cuisine is one of the Four Cuisines in China, noted for its unique flavor. Whenever you go in Shangdong province, you will enjoy their own cooking. Mt.Tai and Qufu are the most representative.

Banquet of Kong Family Mansion
Banquet of Kong Family Mansion was used to receive VIP, comte, and prepared for festa, birthday, wedding and funeral. The banquet is divided into several grades and egregious for its variety and lush. As the most important element of Shandong Cuisine, the banquet has developed into an unique family banquet with the development of one hundred years.
Features: Shen Xian Ya Zi (Supernatural Duck), Yi Pin Hai Shen, Kong Family Biltong, Yi Pin Bean Curd, Xiuqiu Shark Fin, etc.
Smoked Bean Curd
Smoked Bean Curd is the unique traditional snack of locals. You could find the stalls selling smoked bean curd everywhere in Qufu. Put the bean curd and meat to the iron pan, add water until inundating them, then boil together with cayenne, fennel, pepper, cassia. The taste is mouthwatering and lasting for a long time after taking. For the acrid enthusiasts, Five Fragrant Acrid Smoked Bean Curd is a must and enjoy.
Fu Shou Mian Chang
Its English means longlasting of felicity and life. It is one dish in the Banquet of Kong Family For its propitious name and delicious taste, it has been as an unique dish independently for celebrating birthday. The noodles and carp are the main material. You could enjoy it in most of the restaurant in Qufu.
Phenix Fin
As one of the most famous dished in Qufu, it features: beautiful sculpt, crisp and fragrant chicken, roseate fins. It really provided with hue, savory, as well as sapor. The price is about 80RMB-100RMB in common.
Braised Pork Balls in Gravy Sauce
Braised pork balls in gravy sauce are consisted of four big pork balls added gravy sauce. It is said that the dish original from Tang Dynasty. One poor scholar got number one in the imperial examination, admired by emperor and regarded as emperor’s son in law. In order to celebrate, his achievement, the chef cooked the favonian dish. Four balls express different meanings: Succeed in the imperial examination; getting married; as the emperor’s son; reunion with the family.
Peach-shaped birthday cakes
It is made of flour in the shape of peach for celebrating the birthday. Its vivid visualize, tasty and refreshing flavor indicate that the felicity like the torrential east sea, the life is longer then the South Mountain.
Mandarin Duck Chicken
The dish features one chicken has two different taste, one of the unique dish in Qufu. Half of the chicken is braised and the other is baked, dipping with mixed up seasoning when eating.
Taian Battercake
The Battercake is different with other places’. It is chosen corn or millet, and made with millet is the top grade. After fermenting, the paste is spread out, then it is scraped as thin as wing of the cicada, almost transparent. The taste is soft and full of fragrant.
Fried Red Squama Fish
The specialties of Mt.Tai, once was regarded as tribute in Qing Dynasty. It is tender, delicious, less stab, without fishy smell, but higher alimentation. The fried fish is in the shape of bow, with light yellow color, assisted with pepper salt.
Banquet of Beancurd
Banquet of Beancurd is an astonish dish Shandong Cuisine. It offers over 150 bean curd dishes such as Yi Pin Beancurd, the Eight Immortals forgather in Yao Pool, Foshou Beancurd, Panax Beancurd, Lotus Beancurd, Water Lily Beancurd, etc., an enjoyment of vision and gestation.
