Just a quick email to thank all at Tour Beijing for a brilliant 3 days tour from Beijing to Jinan, Qufu and Mt.taishan. All the guides spoke English really well and each had an amazing knowledge of the local area and history. The hotels were fantastic. Mt.Tai and Qufu are the major two attractions not only for the sights but also the attractive specialties. Mt. Tai grows up in the east of North China Plain, outmatches Qilu Plain, faces the vast ocean in the east and lean against the Yellow River of long standing. The supernatural glebe gestates various special local products. Chenxiang Lion, Wenliang Jade, as well as Yellow Vitreous Enamel Calabash are named “Three Treasures on Mt. Tai”.
Qufu has smaller acreage but unique tour souvenirs such as Kai Carve, Beitie (a rubbing from a stone inscription), together with Nishan Inkslab, which the three treasures of Qufu. Furthermore, carpet and Bibcock Crabstick are also specialties incarnating the characteristic of Qufu.

Qufu Kai Carve
Kai Carve is a kind of unique craftworks in Qufu with a history of more than one thousands years. Its material is a kind of golden yellow wood called Kai Mu, whose woodiness is massiness, flexile, and thin texture. Craftsmen make full use of the character of the wood, so the statuaries are exquisitely carved vivid. At present, the traditional products in Qufu are crabstick and Ruyi (means “as one wishes”in English). Additionally, there are various images such as the figure of Confucius, Buddha, Maid of Honour, pencil vase, as well as all kinds of animals.
Qufu Beitie
Qufu is the main producing area of Beitie with abundant resources, which preserves more than 5,000 pieces from West Han Dynasty. Beitie is a kind of copybook colonized with paper and ink on the stele. Qufu Beitie is mainly for topological that is clear and fancy. The calligraphy enthusiasts could attain it in Qufu Bookstore or large market.
Qufu Nishan Inklab
Nishan Inklab got its name because the stone as the material is adopted from Nishan Mountain. Nishan Inklab is noted for its refined, simplicity, and natural in all kinds of shapes and texture. Customers could make different choice as per your own interesting.
Black Jade on Mt. Tai
Black Jade is a kind of black stone on Mt.Tai, a high quality material for carve. The texture is exquisite, the color and luster is bright, so it has the elegant name: Black Jade of Mt.Tai. As the story goes that when Li Bai, Su Shi (two famous poets of ancient time) strolled about Mt.Tai, both of them made high praise for this kind of jade. The Black Jade has been the most popular souvenir for tourists.
Swallow Stone on Mt.Tai
Swallow Stone is also named Bat Stone for its shape like a bat or Trilobite Fossil. Trilobite lived in a remote period about 500,000,000 year from today. The insect inside the stone is similar in shape of flying swallow, as it were relieve, extremely unique. For its high quality and elegant shape, the Swallow Stone could be use for inkslab, inserting screen and so on.
