Just a quick email to thank all at Tour Beijing for a brilliant 3 days tour from Beijing to Jinan, Qufu and Mt.taishan. All the guides spoke English really well and each had an amazing knowledge of the local area and history. The hotels were fantastic. I will be recommending Tour Beijing to anyone visiting China for the tremendous support I received both in person and over the phone. Please pass on my thanks to all of the local guides and keep up the good work.
Yours truly, Helen Brewis
Mount Tai is situated just north of the city of Taian and to the south of the provincial capital Jinan. It is 1545 metres above sea level with an area of 426 square kilometres at its base. Mt. Taishan is one of the "Five Sacred Mountains of Taoism" in China. It is often considered as the foremost of the five - the east Sacred Mountains of Taoism. The other four famous taoist mountains are: West Mt. Huashan in Shaanxi; south Mt.Hengshan in Hunan; north Hengshan and center Mt.Songshan in Hennan. In history, 72 Chinese emperors came here for worshiping or holding ceremonies of handing crowns. In 1987, Mount Tai was listed as world cultrual and natural heritage. So beside its cultural aspect, it also boasts amazing scenic beauty.
