Directly north of Beijing City Proper, Changping District has flat terrain full of orchards and farmland. Beijing Changping local government has chosen a five kilometer area in it Nankou Town as Tourism Development Zone in which lots of scenic spots have been developed. Tourists can enjoy the beautiful area and hiking or visit museums and amusement parks. There are also a golf course and a shooting range. The Changping Town is not a fancy area, but its central location makes it as a good point in travelling the north of Beijing. You can go to Changping by driving along the Beijing-Changping Expressway. If you don't have a car, you may take the Bus 919/920 from Deshengmen.

Our tour guide picks you up at your hotel around 8:am. First go to China Aviation Museum, which is located Xiaotangshan, Changping District north of Beijing. The museum was opened by the Chinese Air Force in 1989 and it has over 140 planes on display. Many are parked outside in ling lines, like used car lot. A huge hangar houses 50 of the more valuable planes. Afterwards, drive further north to the Changping Town ( Changping District ) for sightseeing. In Changping, you will be arranged to visit one local store and Changping Railway Station, mixing with local people to have the insight of the local life style. Then go to Jindian Restaurant to have lunch. After lunch, drive to China North International Shooting Range, which is the largest shooting range in China. The prices vary according to the weapon you are going to choose. You can buy rounds. with average round costing USD 12. You can choose from hundreds of guns including Uzis, M-16s and AK-47s. The China North shooting Range is run by China People's Liberation Army. Transferred back to your hotel around 6;00PM. ( L )
