Xi'an Chengdu Hangzhou Suzhou Shanghai Trip
April 07, 2008. Today we had an easy day with only half day' city tour since people felt a little bit tired and also wanted to go shopping at the famous Islamic Market. We visited the central landmark of Xian - Bell Tower. Then proceeded to the Great Mosque. Lastly we drove to Big Goose Pagoda. The buffet lunch on the second floor of Xian Tangcheng Hotel was very nice with a rich choice of both western and Chinese food. The dinner - Hot-pot mutton at the century-old Donglaishun Restautant was a kind of experience to our guests from Romania.
Bell Tower, is located in the heart of Xian with four directions facing the main four main street and the city gates. I went up to the bell tower.
Looking from the bell tower, on the west is the Xian Xidajie - the main street in Xian, the most valuable and traditional Chinese street with many attractions. One is the Drum Tower.
Behind the Drum Tower ( north of Drum Tower ) is the famous Islamic Street and market
On the west of the market is the Great Mosque
To the north-east corner, there is Star Bucks Coffee.
