Xian Metro
6 subway lines are planned to be built and finished around 2020, totally spanning 251.8 km. Now only Subway Line 2 (first phase) has been completed and in operation now.
Metro Line 1Route: Xianyang Forest Park - Lishan ( 18 stops )
Start: October, 2008
Finish: 2013
Subway Line 1 passes through the city center of Xian from east (Fangzhicheng Stop) to west (Houweizhai Stop). When completed in the year 2013, you can take subway to visit Banpo Village and Terra Cotta Army.

Route: Xian North Railway Station - Exhibition Center ( 17 stops )
Subway Line 2 passes through the city center ( Bell Tower ) of Xian from North (Xian North Railway Station Stop) to South (Exhibition Center).

Subway Line 3 passes through the city center of Xian from Northeat (Xinzhu Stop) to Southwest (Cepocun). When completed, you can take subway to easily get to Changan High-tech Industrial Park in the southwest.
Metro Line 4
Route: Caotannongchang - Weiqu High-tech Industrial Park ( 23 stops )
Start: 2010
Finish: 2020
Subway Line 4 passes through the city center of Xian from North (Caotannongchang Stop) to South (Weiqu High-tech Industrial Park). When completed, you can take subway to easily get to Big Goose Pagoda and Weiqu High-tech Industrial Park in the south.
Metro Line 5
Route: Fangzhicheng Railway Station - Liucunbao ( 25 stops )
Start: 2010
Finish: 2020
Subway Line 5 passes through the south of the city of Xian from East (Fangzhicheng railway Station Stop) to Northwest (Liucunbao Stop). When completed, you can take subway to easily get to Fangzhicheng Railway Station in the east and Liucunbao Industrial Zone in the south.
Metro Line 6
Route: Fangzhicheng - Changan Industrial High-tech Park ( 24 stops )
Start: 2010
Finish: 2020
Subway Line 5 passes through the center ( Bell Tower ) from east (Fangzhicheng Stop) to the southwest ( Changan Industrial High-tech Park). When completed, you can take subway to easily get to Changan Industrial Zone and the ceneter of Xian
