| Jan 22: Arrival at Beijing |
Arrival at Beijing. Met and transferred to your hotel in Beijing.
After breakfast,visit Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. After lunch, move on to the Temple of Heaven for sightseeing. You will enjoy Beijing duck dinner in the evening. After dinner, you will be arranged to enjoy Peking Opera.( L D )
After breakfast,take excursion to Juyongguan Great Wall. Traditional Chinese lunch will be offered at Siwei Restaurant. After lunch, drive to Summer Palace for sightseeing. Return to your hotel and dinner on your own. ( L )
| Jan 25: Beijing ( New Year's Eve ) |
After breakfast, our tour guide will take you to the Silk Market for the shopping just as locals do to buy the gifts and souvenirs and prepare for the new year. Return to your hotel and lunch on your own. At 2:00 PM on Jan 25,,2008, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. You will be taken to the nearby Neighborhood Committee. Then you will be assigned to stay with a hospitable family. You can join them to prepare the coming of the new year. After the new year eve's dinner, you will be taken out to burn firecrackers. Starting from the New Year's Eve, people begin going out to visit friends and relatives, taking with them gifts such as fruits, wines, flowers etc. The entire night will be a time for networking amusement. All locals will stay up for the night to welcome the new year. You will be transferred to your hotel later in the evening. ( D )

After breakfast, you will be arranged to visit a famous Beijing temple fair. The ancient temple fairs in Beijing now are only held during the Spring Festival, relivening the traditions of the past as well as being the opportunities for celebration and entertainment in the present day. You can expect Folk performances: stilt-walking and drum performances;2)Snacks: snacks are displayed in lines of booths; Shop around: Most of the temple fair places are full with booths providing various small cheap products; Snap Opportunity: take your camera when you are in a temple fair trip in Beijing. It's a great insight into the lives of Beijing people in the past and present. After typical Chinese lunch at a nice restaurant, you will the Hutong tour. Beijing hutong is an ancient city alley or lane typical in Beijing. Existed as early as hundreds of years ago, narrow lanes, or hutongs were common in ancient Beijing.the Hutongs of Beijing reflect in turn the lives of ordinary Beijing people as a whole. So roaming through Beijing's old, narrow streets, hutongs, by old-fashioned pedicab has attracted more and more overseas visitors. This evening's dinner will be arranged at Baguobiyi Reatautant to enjoy Sichuan food over the Face-changing performance. Transferred to your hotel afterwards. ( L D )
