West Film Studio

Located at Zhenbeibu, the northwest of Yinchuan, Zhenbeibu China West Film Studio is one of the three biggest film studios in China and the most famous film studio in western China.
The West Film Studio was set up by famous Chinese writer Zhang Xianliang in 1992. More than eighty movies have been filmed in this film studio, including “Mu Ma Ren”, “Red Kaoliang”, “The Yellow River Song”, “The Old Man and His Dog”, “Big Words of Western Tour”, etc. China West Film Studio is the very best choice of location base to shoot Western China and Ancient China theme movies' outdoor scene. Besides filming, the film studio is also a place for tourism, entertainment, leisure, dining and shopping. More that 140 scenes from famous movies and TV series were filmed in Zhenbeibu China West Film Studio.

You can get there by taking bus No. 16 or No. 303. the opening hours of the West Film Studio is from 08:30 – 17:30 in winter and 08:00 – 18:00 in summer. The admission fee is 60 Yuan per person.
