The Exhibition Hall of Cultural Palace of Ethic Groups
Located on West Chang’an Avenue in Beijing, the Exhibition Hall of China’s Cultural Palace of Ethnic Groups was one of the top ten architectural sites built for the 10th anniversary of the birth of the People’s Republic of China.
It was voted as the winner of the 50 most favorite architectural structures by the Chinese public during the activity of “Our Most Loved Traditional Chinese Architecture” poll held in Beijing in 1994.
The Exhibition Hall of China’s Cultural Palace of Ethic Groups sets its objectives on the collection and preservation of the cultural relics of China’s ethic minorities, as well as the studying and advocacy of the cultures of ethnic minorities.
With an exhibition area of more than 3,000 square kilometers, the Hall displays more than 40,000 cultural items. It also hosts exhibitions on special topics from time to time.
