We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Former Residence of Mao Dun
Mao Dun served as the head of the Chinese Ministry of Culture, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, vice-chairman of the China Federation of Literature and Art Circles, as well as a long-time chairman of the Chinese Writers’ Association.

The last residence of Mao Dun was a Beijing-style Siheyuan dwelling where he spent his final years. The furniture in the house has been kept intact, just as when he lived here. The exhibition in the northern room introduces Mao Dun and his literary creation.

The photos and objects displayed in the eastern wing shows the tireless contribution by Mao Dun to cultural development and world peace after New China was founded. The back section contains Mao Dun’s study and bedroom.
