Former Residence of Gouo Moruo
Guo Moruo’s former Residence is a large scaled Siheyuan occupying an area of 7,000 sq.m. Guo Moruo spent the last 15 years of his life here. The gingko trees and peonies that Guo Moruo and his wife planted are still blossoming in the courtyard. The five northern rooms were once Guo’s study and sitting room. The east chamber was his bedroom, and there are three rooms each on the east and the west flanks. All the rooms are connected by a long corridor leading to the backyard.
“The Exhibition of Guo Moruo’s Life” there revives his unusual life experience as a poet, impressed with Guo Moruo’s simple life style and his romantic temperament as a poet and a revolutionary at the same time.
