Me and my friend had a great time at Harbin and ice carving world and show world, we had some extra time so Steven Ma ( our local tour guide ) took us to place near Songhua River to see the winter swimming. It was amazing! We had a great time, it was the perfect ending to my trip in China. Arrive at Harbin early in the morning. Met and transferred to your Hotel in Harbin - 4 star Kunlun Hotel ( booked by us ). After breakfast, drive to Sun Island to enjoy Snow Carving Festival in Sun Island. The Sun Island is one of northern China's most scenic spots and is famous throughout the country as a resort. However, in winter, when the whole island is covered with snow, that it is the best time to take part in the famous Snow Carving Festival here. The park displays on winter an interesting exposition of figures carved in snow. These are definitely best seen during the day. They are simply incredible, and once seen will never be forgotten. After lunch, visit St. Sophia Church. Harbin St. Sophia Church is the largest Eastern Orthodox Church in China as well in the Far East. It has the height of 53.3 meters and has an area of 721 square meters. It is a National level Key Cultural Relics in China. Now it is turned into Harbin Art Gallery. It is a landmark in Harbin. Then move on to the Stalin Park. The park is located on the south of Songhua River in Harbin. The area occupied is 100000 square meters. Formerly named " River Bank Park", it was built in 1953. It is an open park 1750 meters long, just across Sun Island. It offers many kinds of water-sports and other leisure activties. The monument in the park commemorates the flood 1957 and many vunteers who helped at the time. After dinner, visit Harbin Ice and Snow World. Located on the open place on the way to Sun Island, the ice carvings at the Harbin Ice and Snow World are listed as the world's greatest examples of ice art, the largest ice and snow art exhibition in the world of this kind. People can enjoy the largest and most amazing ice-sculpted masterpieces. All ice carvings are done relative to the festival's theme. Transferred back to your hotel - Kunlun Hotel or same class. Day 02:Harbin
After breakfast at hotel, visit Siberian Tiger Park. The Siberian Tiger Park is built to protect the Siberian Tiger. The Siberian tiger is considered endangered. Regarded as the king of the Forest, it is the largest felid in the world. Located on the north bank of the Songhua River, it has an area of 1,440,000 square meters. It is an ideal place for holiday and leisure. There are more than 500 purebred Siberian tigers here. What's more, visitors can also see white tigers, lions, lynx, leopards, and black pumas and many more. Then move on to the winter swimming pool. Winter Swimming is a very popular sport in Harbin. The brave winter swimmers go swimming in the icy water in winter while the other people watch wearing thick clothes. Local swimmers put on some performaces like dancing and boxing on the ice as well as swimming in the pool against the chilly weather. Therefore, many tourists like to see the winter swimming - a brave activity. After lunch, visit Harbin'most commercial street - Zhongyang Dajie. Harbin is often dubbed as the Eastern Moscow due to its Russian architecture dooted in the city. The Zhongyang Dajie is the most famous street refecting the foreign styles. It includes many European architectural styled buildings from Renaissance and the baroque to eclecticism. Zhongyang Dajie is also a pedestrian steeet in Habin lined with shops and restaurants. After dinner, visit Ice Lantern Festival in Zhaolin Park. The Ice Carving In Zhaolin Park is the most important winter site in Harbin. The ice activities in the ice lantern park have been held here each year since 1963! In the evening, the park becomes a glittering fairland of ice. Each year, Numerous pieces of ice artwork here are arranged into groups according to different theme set for the yesar epicting Chinese classical works, European folktales, and mythical and real life animals. Different year has its own different theme. This year - 2009 theme is the Disney Theme. After dinner, transferred to the railway station and take overnight train for your next destination.
