This most idyllic day trip brings you out of Beijing enjoying the scenic Mutianyu Great Wall and the idyllic Sacred Way, a perfect option for rewinding yourself from a metropolitan city like Beijing. Getting up early and starting around 8:00am for Mutianyu Great Wall. The Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of the year. There are 20 towers (numbered from right to left) on the Mutianyu Great Wall snaking the ridge for about 3000 meters. You may take a cable car up to the wall (optional) or climb up if you have strong legs. You have 2 hours on the wall. You may climb down or take a cable car or a tobbogan slide down (optional).

After Chinese lunch, you are heading to Sacred Way ( also known as Spirit Way, Divine Road, or Holy Way ) in Changping District. On the way to Sacred Way, you will enjoy the scenic villages, river, and trees. In the front of imperial tombs, there used to be a Sacred Way, the road leading to heaven since the Emperor was known as the Son of the Heaven, who came from Heaven to his country through the Sacred Way. Along the way, you will be excited to take pictures with all the human and animal figures, not to forget, the two mythological creatures, xiezhi and qilin, standing and sitting in line on both sides. All these figures are supposed to stand here protecting the holy way.
