Mutianyu Great Wall - located in Huairou district, 70 km from downtown Beijing. The Mutianyu Great Wall is less crowded than Badaling. There are three ways to head up and down beside hiking on foot. One is the cable car, the second is a slideaway (toboggan) and the third is a chair lift. A lot of vendors will greet you on your way down. Look at their products from afar first before you get closer to them. Once you go into a shop you'll have a hard time getting away from the vendor so make sure you like what you see before you start haggling.
Mutianyu Great Wall works as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It is a green section of the great wall in Beijing with vegetation, green pines and cypresses covering 90 per cent of the section.
Shunyi District - Shunyi District is located in the northeast of Beijing. It is about 30 kilometers away from the center of Beijing. It is next to Pinggu to the east, Huanrou and Miyun to the north, Changpin and Chaoyang Districts to the west, and Tongzhou District and Sanhe City of Hebei to the south. It is 45 kilometers along from east to west, 30 kilometers from south to north. It has an area of 1021 square kilometers.
Huairou District - Huairou District has an area of about 2,557 square kilometers. It comprises 7 towns and 14 townships with a population of over 260,000. It is located about 50 kilometers from the downtown city . It is recorded that 90 percent of it is mountainous area. 69% of its land is forest covered. This district is also regarded as the natural Oxygen area of Beijing. It has a good blend of plant, animal and tourism resources.

Is this a private tour, or will there be other people in the car or van with us?This is an exclusive private half day Tour. Once your tour is confirmed, that tour will no longer be available to anyone else except for your own traveling party.
Any mandatory shopping stops on the half day tour?
It is a non-shopping private tour. Everyone hates being dragged to tourist traps. No Hidden Fee!
Does the half day tour include stops or are we in the car the whole tour?
You have the option to stop at most sites for photo taking etc. The entrance to Mutianyu Great Wall is included ( the cable car is excluded ).
Can I be picked up from our hotel or a fixed meeting point?
Yes. normally Hotel Pickup is available if you are staying at a hotel within Beijing fourth ring road. For home pickup or stay far from the downtown, please contact our trip advisor for more information.
How long does the half day tour last?
Approxi 3-4 hours. Rush hours in Beijing can cause serious traffic jam. We try our best to foresee the traffic and limit the tour within 4 hours to fit into your schedule. If you want to prolong your half day tour, you are kindly requested to pay extra tour expense after contacting your trip advisor from our tour company.
What about the tour guide?
They all have the official licenses for tour guide service. They all love their work and are ready to render their good services to you.
How about the vehicle?
For all the small private tours you book through us, we arrange the cars or vans like Red Flag ( Chinese National Car ), Hyundai Sonata; Van Refine 10 or Van Mercedes MB100. If you prefer deluxe or super deluxe cars or vans, please feel free to consult our trip advisors for new quotations.
How about the driver?
All the drivers have the official licenses with over 5 years' driving experience. All drivers select the most dynamic route, observe local traffic regulations. Refrain from smoking, eating and drinking in the passenger's presence.
