Tour detailes:
Start with Yonghegong (Lama Temple), a famous Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing. You may take a taxi or subway to Yonghegong Station. If you are interested in Buddhist Lama Temple, you buy a ticket at the price of RMB 20 and visit the temple, the Beijing's most visited religious site.
Go out of the temple, on your right side across the street, you will find a street with an arc. It is the famous Chengxian Street ( some part of the street is also called Guozijian Jie). The east-west roadway, starting about 700 years ago with its structures built in line with ancient Chinese customs,once one of the China's most important humanist centers.- the Confucius Temple and Guozijian (Imperial College).So walking west along the street, you will come across Kong Miao (Temple of Confucius) and the neighboring Guozijian (Imperial Academy).

Walking along Guozijian Jie west until it meets Andingmennei Dajie. Enter this commerical road, turn left and walk south to Guloudong Dajie, another major thoroughfare. Turn right (west) and walk to the Gulou (Drum Tower).

Walking from the Drum Tower through the alley north and come to the Zhonglou (Bell Tower).
Bell Tower
Returning south to Dianmenwai Dajie ( north of Drum Tower), turning onto Yandai Jie, the first lane on the right. A board on the right tells that makers of long-stem pipes once lined the lane's narrow way.

Yandai Xiejie ( Tobacco Pipe Lean Street ), a quaint 800-year-old hutong located directly north of Yinding Bridge between Qianhai and Houhai and the south of the Drum Tower, used to be well-known for sellers of long-stemmed pipes, hence the name. So wind northwest on Yandai Jie past bicycle repair shops, tiny restaurants, and crumbling traditional courtyard houses toward Houhai Park.

Turn left onto the arched bridge--Yinding Qiao that separates Houhai and Qianhai lakes. Take photos there. You will find lots of bars along the banks of the lakes, especially on the banks of Houhai lakes near the bridge.Stop there and take some tea or coffee.

Walkinging along Houhai Lake's west bank on the road called Houhai West Street ( Houhai Xijie ). At the end of the road, please turn left and follow your nase for about 200 M and you find Gongwangfu (Prince Gong's Palace). Visiting the Prince Gong' Mansion. It was once the private living place of He Shen, a favorite minister of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), it was first constructed in 1777. In 1851, the mansion was offered to Prince Gong by Emperor Xianfeng (1851-1862), hence the name. Now it is the most well preserved mansion in Beijing.

After visiting the Prince Gong's Palace, go out and turn left and walk towards to Shichahai bar area. Shichahai area is a centraly preserved zone showcasing the life of old Beijing. It is comprised of three-lake area: Qian Hai Lake, meaning Front Sea; Hou Hai Lake, meaning Back Sea and Xi Hai Lake, meaning Western Sea. Lots of bars are clustered in the Shichahai area or along the Shichahai Lakeshore.
