Tour Itinerary:
The Eastern Tombs of Qing Dynasty in Zunhua County is one of the two burial sites for the remains of emperors, empresses, consorts,and princesses in Qing Dynasty ( 1644-1911).

It is situated 125km (77.7miles) away east of Beijing at Malanyu, Zunhua County, Hebei Province. In 1661, the 2nd year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, the emperor ordered its construction. The whole project took about two centuries to complete, until Empress Dowager Cixi was buried in 1908.

The important tombs include the Xiao Tomb of the first emperor of Qing, Emperor Shunzhi, the Jing Tomb of Emperor Kangxi, the Yu Tomb of Emperor Qianlong, the Ding Tomb of Emperor Xianfeng, the Hui Tomb of Emperor Tongzhi, and tombs of the empresses Xiaozhuang, Ci'xi. All were erected over a span of 272 years.

The site of Eastern Qing Tombs was listed as world heritage in 2000 together with others Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
