Laojun Mountain, Lijiang
Laojun Mountain is in the shape of horseshoe, which seems to be the cook furnace used by Tai Shang Lao Jun (Lord Lao Zi of the Great Monad), so it is named Laojun Mountain.
Azalea is one of the main attractions in Laojun Mountain, which could be seen everywhere. In the blossoming time, the mountain is covered with colorful flowers, red, purple, yellow, white and so on, which is really an azalea kingdom.
99 Dragon Pools is another must except for azalea in Laojun Mountain. As the story goes, really, there are 99 pools, showing different colors. Comparing to Jiuzhaigou, it is more natural.
The residents in Laojun Mountain, except for the local graziers, are the cute canary monkey and some other wild animals.
