Day 01: Beijing - Hohhot by overnigt train K89 ( 9:00pm - next day 7:20am)
Pick up from your hotel around 19:30 and transferred to Beijing West Train Station. Take overnight train to Hohhot from Beijing by K89 at 21:00 for Hohhot. 4 people sharing one compartment.
Day 02: Hohhot - Gegentala grassland by road
Arrival in Huhhot 07:20 am. Met and first transferred to a nice hotel for buffet breakfast. After breakfast, drive to the Gegentala Grassland. The drive to Gegentala Grassland takes about 3 hours. After arriving at the grassland, check in at the deluxe yurts. Then go to the stud farms to select the horse for riding. The cost for horse riding is not included in the tour package. You are supposed to talk with the herdsmen. Normally it costs RMB 150 per round, which takes about 2 hours including the horse riding, visiting a Aobao hill and visiting a Mongolian family. After the horse riding, watching the routine performance at 5:00pm given by the Gegentala Grassland including horse racing and wrestling performance. After dinner, enjoying bonfire party in the evening starting at 9:00 or 9:30am. Stay at deluxe yurt. ( B L D )
Day 03: Gegentala - Hohhot by road - Beijing by overnight train
After breakfast, drive back to Huhhot city. Visit Dazhao Monastery, the largest Gelukpa (Yellow Hat Sect) Temple in town, which holds many interesting artifacts. Then move on to Saishanglaojie, the 400-year old street with the characteristics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. After lunch, visit Five-Pagoda Temple or locally called Wuta Si in Chinese. It has a blend of architectural style with five multi-tier Chinese style pagodas built on a square-shaped Indian style structure. Later do a bit souvenir shopping before you head to the train station taking K90( 21:00 - next day 7:20am ) for Beijing. ( B L D )
Day 04: Arrival in Beijing
Arrival in Beijing at 7:20am and transferred to your hotel or residence in Beijing. B---Breakfast, L---Lunch, D---DinnerInner Mongolia Major Attractions

Inner Mongolia has extreme weather. There is a dramatic difference in temperature between day and night. It is necessary to take some warm clothing or rent them on the spot when you travel on the grassland. It is also one of the driest regions in China. You are kindly reminded to bring hydrated and take moisturizing lotion to protect your skin.
