Day By Day Itinerary:

Day 01: Beijing - Hohhot by overnigt train K89 ( 9:00pm - next day 7:20am)
Pick up from your hotel around 19:30 and transferred to Beijing West Train Station. Take overnight train to Hohhot from Beijing by K89 at 21:00 for Hohhot. 4 people sharing one compartment.

Day 02: Hohhot - Gegentala grassland by road ( B L D )
Arriving at Hohhot at 7:20am, met by our English speaking tour guide at Hohhot Railway Station and transferred to a nice hotel for buffet breakfast.Then take a private van to Qixinghu Desert Eco-Tourism Resort. Qixinghu Desert Eco-Tourism Resort is 330km west of Hohhot and the drive takes about 5 hours. You will go through the first sand road in the world - Crossing Sand Road. Arriving at the resort, then have lunch.

Seven Star Lake Desert Eco-Tourism Resort is a theme of ecological construction in the desert. Water activities include motorboat, yachts, boats, water bikes, fishing, etc., the sand activities cover sand sliding, paragliding, hot air balloon, sand volleyball, sand football, horse riding, camel (all the activities are not included in the tour package). In the evening, enjoy the floklore singing and dancing party.
Stay overnight at the resort.

Day 03: Qixinghu Desert Eco-Tourism Resort - Ordos Grassland by Road ( B L D )
After breakfast, head to Ordos Grassland, 100km south of the Qixinghu Desert Eco-Tourism Resort. The drive takes about 2 hours.

Arriving at Ordos Grassland, you will receive a welcoming ceremony - you will be warmly welcomed by the local Mongolians colorfully dressed. They will present each of you a silver cup of wine and Hada ( white or blue silk scarves which are tokens of greetings in Inner Mongolia ).

Then check in your yurt for the overnight stay here. Two people share one yurt. After lunch, go to the stud farm to select the horse for your horseback riding. The cost for horseback riding is not included in the tour package. Usually RMB 150 200 per round per person including the horse riding, visiting Aobao and a herdsmen's family, which usually takes about 2-3 hours. The horseback is the hightlight of the tour.

After horseback riding, you are arranged to see the Performances of Mongolian style wrestling, Horse racing and Equestrian. The first program is wrestling competition performed by local Mongolians. Most of them are very vigorous. Then followed by Horse racing and Equestrian.

After dinner, take a break till 9:pm when you go to an open place in front of the main complex to enjoy bonfire party. There is a large stage for the performers. A bonfire is ignited in front of the stage. Almost all the people on the grassland will gather her in the evening. They form a circle and dance or let off fireworks. People enjoy the wonderful local songs and dances presented by the local Mongolians under a stary sky.

Day 04: Ordos Grassland - Genghis Khan Mausoleum - Hohhot by road ( B L D )
After breakfast, continue to drive eastwards to Genghis Khan Mausoleum, 180km east of Ordos Grassland. The drive takes about 2.5 hours. The Gengkis Khan Mausoleum visit takes 1.5 hours. Genghis Khan is a Mongolian hero who reunified the chaotic Inner-Mongolia prairie, made great contribution to the founding of the powerful Yuan Dynasty and enhanced greatly the interaction of the people of China.

After lunch, drive 325km back to Hohhot. The drive takes about 5 hours. On the way, you will be arranged to visit a local largest arts and crafts factory - Menglang Arts and Crafts Factory. After dinner, trasnferred to our designated hotel in Hohhot.

Day 05: Hohot - Beijing by overnight train ( B L D )
You will have a free and easy morning to recharge yourelf. After lunch in Hohhot, you will be arranged to visit Dazhao Monastery, Inner Mongolia Museum and Jiangjun Yashu at Suiyuan City. Dazhao Monastery is the largest and best preserved lama temple in Hohhot. Inner Mongolia Museum is located in the heart of Hohhot and is the largest and best museum in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Jiangjun Yashu at Suiyuan City was originally built for the general of the Suiyuan city, covers an area of 15,000 square meters in Qin Dynasty (1644-1911).

After dinner, connect overnight train overnight train K90 (Dep: 21:00 Arr: 07:20 next morning) for Beijing.

Day 06: Arrival at Beijing
Arrival in Beijing at 07:20 am. Met and tranferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
