Dear Daniel,
I have just returned home from my week in Beijing and want to thank you, Paul Song and your wonderful team for looking after me so well doing my stay in Beijing. It was an awesome stay and I managed to do all the things I wanted to do and that included the long walk on the Great Wall, which although a challenge was with the help of your guides great. I managed the 4.5 hours and enjoyed almost every minute, sure a cable car and the walk off the wall through the country side did help, but the whole day with perfect weather and a great team will remain one of my most treasured memories.
I will certainly be recommending you to my friends and will write a bit about the trip on several websites.
I am also sure I will come back to Beijing sometime in the future. As I have told Paul, next time I would like to come to your office and met you both.
Thank you and your team.
Sincerely,
Penny

The thirteen Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. You will visit Changling, the head and the largest tomb of Ming Tombs, where Emperor Yongle (the first emperor in Beijing) and his Empress Xu were buried. The sightseeing on the Ming Tombs takes about 1 hour. The visit to Ming Tombs finishes at about 10:45. Before having lunch (11:30 am), you will have 45 minutes for a short visit of Friend Yongsheng Jade Carving Factory. The jade carving is a famous special Chinese product, a blend of the excellent skill on carving and Chinese traditional cultures.
Having traditional Chinese lunch at Jindian restaurant. After lunch, driving to the Badaling Great Wall. The hike on Badaling Great Wall takes 2 hours. Badaling section is the most famous and best-preserved wall. Its highest point at Badaling is some 800 meters above sea level. Cable car is available and optional.
Head back to downtown Beijing and pass by the Olympic Green, having a distant view of both the National Stadium - the " bird Nest " and National Aquatics Center - the Water Cube. After that, you will have a chance to enjoy the Chinese traditional Silk arts. Back to your hotel around 6:00pm.
Booking Note:
1. It's a heavy day with a lot of walking. So be sure to wear comfortable shoes and have a good sleep the day before.
2. We try to finish the heavy tour schedule in 8 hours. But the traffic in Beijing is very bad sometimes. Our tour guide and driver will
do their best to keep your day trip smooth and avoid any delay. If any delay, your patience and understanding is much appreciated.
So please don't make any important appointment in the later afternoon due to the possible delay for the day tour.
3. Normally Hotel Pickup is available if you are staying at a hotel within Beijing fourth ring road. For home pickup or stay far from the
downtown, please contact our trip advisor for more information.
4. We offer Chinese lunch. Usually the tourist meals have a bad name. But we try our best to improve the quality of the
lunch on the tour.
5. We do arrange some shopping on the tour. Chinese tourist shops have a very bad name on the internet. Actually the things are not so bad
as it is. The shopping stops are nice places for you to relax and at the same time to make use of the short time to familiarize yourself
with the local products as well as help create more jobs for local people. The shopping is not compulsory.
6.If you feel you enjoyed yourself and had a great time, gratuities are greatly appreciated. Badaling Great Wall
1. The Badaling Great Wall is the well preserved Ming Dynasty Great Wall with original appearance. Now it is divided into two sections -
east and west starting at the Badaling Pass and Gate. Most people prefer to climb the east section where the highest watch tower is
located.
2. Some tourists don't choose the Badaling Great Wall. They think Badaling Great Wall is too touristy! "Tourity" is now a bad word for any
tour desination. But why is it too touristy? It is "too touristy" because Badaling Great Wall is the most gorgeous of all the five
sections of the Great Wall around Beijing.
3. The Badaling Great Wall is worth being listed on your Great Wall hiking travel plan. Your Badaling Great Wall hike can be easily
customized to include the Ming Tombs or Summer Palace on your one day trip. Changling ( one of the 13 Ming Tombs )
1. The resting place for one of the 13 tombs of the 16 Ming Dyasty emperors. This site was chosen for its location and its auspicious feng
shui.
2. Some people think Ming Tombs are less interesting and nothing to see. Some think Ming Tombs are worth visiting, an authentic historical
landmark. Among the 13 Ming Tombs, only two tombs are open to the public: Changling and Dingling ( Underground Palace ). Today you will
visit Changling.
3. The beauty of the buildings, and the artifacts are pretty amazing, since there is nothing like them in the west. Take some extra time to
walk around and get a good look at the site.
4. This is a good site for many reasons. First, it is outside of Beijing, so you get a chance to get out of the city and see a bit of
the countryside. Second, it is relatively close to the Great Wall, so you can see both in one day.
