We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Transportation: After the effort of 30 years, the transportation in Congjiang made great improvement. There are 35 newly rebuilt road and the waterway has reached 209 kilometers long.

Hotels: Yinhe Hotel (0855-6417758) near Congjiang bus station.Y40.00 for dbl-beded room with hot shower
Tenglongge Hotel, 5 minutes walk towards north of the bus station

Dining: Some small restaurants along the street opposite the bus station serve delicious food but having no menu, all raw vegetables/meat are in vessels open for choice. "Cheng Lao Nai" (Grandma Chen)'s is the most favorite one by locals and travelers.
Congjiang spiced pig is made from a kind of pig which never grows big and mainly eats the weeds in the mountain. Its flesh is naturally savory. It is said that this kind of pig is raised only in Congjiang. Don't miss out!

Attractions: Biasha Miao Village
Biasha Miao Village– Some 4,000 years ago, Chiyou, the ancestor of the Miao minority, was defeated in a battle, so he led his army to the west of China, with one detachment of the army staying in Basha.
This Biasha Miao is quite different from other Miao groups in terms of clothing and daily life. Biasha people belong to the Miao branch that is least affected by modern civilization. Even in the modern times, they still lead very traditional.
