Subway No.04 is linked to Beijing South Railway Station. It is accessible by many public buses, including Routes 300 and 458, and taxi.
Beijing - Tianjin Train Ticket Booking
There are about 70 daily high-speed trains going between Beijing and Tianjin starting from Beijing South Railway Stationa to Tianjin Railway Station. Tickets are easily purchased like bus tickets if you take the train during non-tourism ( Summer time or weekend ). For the tourist high season, you are suggested to go to the train much earlier to catch the train ticket you prefer. The ticket costs you around RMB 60-90 depending whether you buy first class or second class tickets.
Its Exterior
The huge oval-shaped railway station was designed by the UK-Hong Kong architecture company of Terry Farrell and Partners in working with the Tianjin Design Institute. It was made from over 60,000 tons of steel and 490,000 cubic meters of concrete by 4,000 workers in less than three years.
The Waiting Hall and Ticketing Booths
The complex is a 5 storey-building with 2 above ground and 3 underground. The 2 storeys above ground are mainly used as the waiting hall and ticket booking boothes. To enter the hall, passengers have to go through X-ray security check. There are over 20 gates for departures. So please find your right gate for your train. On the both sides of the main entrance inside, there are two ticketing booths selling daily or advance train tickets. There are about 40 automatic ticket selling machines. Variou vendors sell all kinds of snacks. Trendy coffee shops and boutique are availble here and there.
