Day 01:
Beijing - Xian by overnight train Z19 (21:18 - next day 08:19 am) or T43 (21:36 -next day 8:42)
Pick up from your hotel in Beijing by our private car and tour guide, then transferred to Beijing West Station. Our tour guide will assist you in finding the right plateform and taking the right carriage of the train Z19 (21:18 - next day 08:19 am) or T43 (21:36 -next day 8:42) for Xian.
We offer soft-sleeper for you. For this train, there are two kinds of soft sleepers: four-bed cabin and two-bed cabin and with different prices. The two-bed cabin has a private washing room while people in the four-bed cabin use the public washing room. All the cabin equipped with small TV. Free hot water. Routine running of food cart selling bottled water, beer and snack. Clean dining car. Air-conditioned. Please be ready to have some daily necessities on hand like tooth paste, tooth brush, towel etc.
Day 02: Beijing - Xian - Beijing by flight
Your train arrives in Xian at 08:16 am. Please get ready and don't forget your personal belongings on the train. Holding a signboard in your name, our tour guide in Xian is expecting you in front of your carriage on the platform inside the train station.
Arriving in Xian, you will be first arranged to have simple breakfast at the local hotel. After breakfast, pass by Bell Tower and Drum Tower for picture taking.
Then visit the Great Mosque. The famous Great Mosque is located in the Muslim Area. For the tourists coming here, the bazaar in the Muslim area is most attractive with a wide area of stalls selling everything. The streets and walkways are full of life. The shopping is great, very cheap and some unusual items we will seldom see anywhere else in China. The Great Mosque in Xian is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China. Unlike most mosques in Middle Eastern or Arab countries, the Great Mosque of Xian is completely Chinese in its construction and architectural style, except for some Arabic lettering and decorations.
Then transferred to the City Wall in Xian. The main magnet of Xian is the city wall, which is the most complete city wall that has survived in China as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. It was enlarged in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) from the city wall initially built in Tang Dynasty (618 -907). Now it is 12 meters tall, 12-14 meters wide overing 14 kilometers in length with a deep moat surrounding it. You can walk, even cycle on the wall. Its south gate is the most largest with a suspension bridge. Most of the tourists choose the south gate for sightseeing.
After buffer lunch at downtown Xi'an, drive to the Army of Terra Cotta Warriors. To visit Army of Terra Cotta Warriors is the main reason why you are here in Xian. You may have already seen its pictures from China travel books or China tour related travel websites. The original site was found by a local farmer drilling a well in 1974. Now it has turned into the most important attraction in Xian - Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum. It is located about 50km east of the Xian City. The museum includes Pit 1, Pit 2 and Pit 3 as well the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses. The Pit 1 is the largest of the three. The museum and the mausoleum are listed the world's cultural legacies as the UNESCO.
After the tour, take the later afternoon flight back to Beijing. Our tour guide in Beijing will expect you at the Beijing Airport, then return you to your hotel in Beijing.

1. If you want to take a one day private trip by rail to Xian from Beijing, take a soft sleeper train is an exciting way. You can save one-night accommodation and enjoy a train ride in China as well. The Z class train is a through train between Beijing and Xian without any stops.
2. There are two kinds of soft berth compartments on the Train T43 or T44: 4-bed-cabin and 2-bed-cabin. If you would like pay more for more comfort and privacy, we recommend the 2-bed-cabin if you travel in 2 persons party. If you travel alone or want to have more interaction with local people, we suggest you use the four-bed cabin - also a luxury way of train travel in China.
Caution: There are no 2-bed cabins on the Train Z19 or Z20.
