My Trip to Hangzhou

Hangzhou is well known for its West Lake. The West Lake is a poem, an oil painting and a moving story. There are many "west lakes" in China. When people talk about"West Lake", people certainly refers to the west lake in Hangzhou. The West Lake in Hangzhou presents its unique views in all seasons - winter, spring, autumn and winter. It is located on the west of the Hangzhou city proper, hence the name of "West Lake". It is circled on its three sides by the montains. What makes the west lake more famous is not just its featuring location and beautiful views, but also its connection with many scholars, national heroes and revolutionary martyrs, and many sides of Chinese culture.
This morning I make a short trip around the West Lake. The circular trip takes me about 4 hours. Its circumference is around 15 kilometers. All the parks around the lake is free to the public, a smart measure taken by the local government.
My hotel - Xinqiao Hotel is just next to the Lakeside Park( Hubin Park ), so I decide to take the circular trip starting from Hubin Park, then walk northward, continue to walk westward, southward, eastward and back to my lodging.

Lakeside Park
The Lakeside Park of the West Lake is composed of 6 connected parks - Park 1, 2, ...6. All the six parks are free, a pedestrian area, a favorite place for the West Lake lovers.
