Itinerary

Day 01: Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport - Huanglong Scenic Area (L D)

Take the early morning flight from Chengdu and arrive at Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport (air-tickets not included). Met by our English speaking tour guide.

The two-hour drive takes you to Huanglong Scenic Area, about 60km east of Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport. After lunch, visit Huanglong Scenic Area. Huanlong in Chinese means "Yellow Dragon", is nestled at the foot of the Jade Peak of Xuebaoding, the main peak of Minshan Mountain Rang. The valley is 7.5 km long (in depth) and 2.5 km wide with an average altitude of 3550 meters. The valley has a dense distribution of thousands of travertine colour-ponds, travertine flow streams.

There are three ways of visiting the Huanglong Valley:
1. Walk 5km on the boardwalks up to the upmost tip - Five-colour Lake and then walk 5km down the boardwalks to the entrance.
2. First take the 5-8 minute cable car up to the platform called "Wanlong Ping", from which you walk 2km on the boardwalks to Five-color Lake. Then walk 5km down the boardwalks to the entrance.
3. Walk 5km on the boardwalks up to the upmost tip Five-colour Lake, then walk 2km on the boarddwalks to the cable car station at "Wanlong Ping", take 5-8 minute cable car down to the ground.
Remark: Taking a cable car is not included.

After 4-5 hour tour in Huanglong Scenic Area, have another 3-hour drive and get to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, 90km northwest of Huanglong. Check in at our designated hotel in Jiuzhaigou and have dinner in the hotel. After dinner, you are free for rest of the day.

Day 02: Full Day Tour in Jiuzhaigou ( B L D )

After breakfast, walk to the entrance to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. Jiuzhaigou has three valleys naturally formed in a "Y" shape. The Rize Valley 17km long and Zechawa Valley 18km long flow from the south and meet at a confluence where they form the Shuzheng valley 15km long in the middle, continuing to flow north to the mouth of the Shuzheng Valley. All the three valleys are accessible both by shuttle bus and boardwalks.

So using both boardwalks and the shuttle buses, you will visit the major attrations in the three valleys - Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley and Zechawa Valley, which takes you about 4-5 hours including lunch.

After the tour in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, you walk to your hotel in Jiuzhaigou. Dinner included.

Day 03: Leave Jiuzhaigou( B )

After simple breakfast or box-meal on the way, you are transferred to Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport and then take the morning flight for Chengdu connecting your travl for next destination ( your Jiuzhai Hunglong - Chengdu flight is not included).
