Arrival at Taiyuan and Pingyao
Arrival at Taiyuan. Met and have city tour to the Jin Ancestral Temple, the Qiao"s Grand Courtyard, and the Shuanglin Temple. After lunch, move on to Pingyao ancient town. Stay at a local hotel in Pingyao.
Day 02:
Exit from Pingyao
Take the city tour to the Ancient City Wall, the Rishengchang Draft Bank, and the Mingqing Street. After dinner, take overnight train to next your next destination

Tour Itinerary : Day 01:
Beijing-Taiyuan: Transfer from hotel to Beijing railway station for overnight train K701 to Taiyuan depart at 21:13. Overnight on train 4 people sharing one compartment.
Day 02:
Taiyuan: Arrival in Taiyuan at 7:30 am. Met and transfered to Shanxi Grand Hotel. The rest of the day excursion to visit Qiao Family Courtyard and Pingyao Old Town.( L, D )
Day 03:
Taiyuan- Beijing: Morning visit Jinci Monastery, transfer to railway station for train K718(12:12-20:17) back to Beijing, transfer to hotel in Beijing.

Taiyuan
Taiyuan is the capital of Shanxi Province. It already became one of China"s earliest areas engaged in business in 292 A.D, called the "Jin Business Culture". Shanxi is known as the "kingdom of cooked wheaten food" because of its one thousand ways of cooking wheaten food. Main scenic spots: Ancient Pingyao City, Qiao Family Buildings and Jin Ancestral Temple.
Pingyao
Pingyao is a small town in central Shanxi Province,near Taiyuan.Pingyao boasts plenty of cultural relics.The city wall was first built during the Zhou Dynasty (11th century - 256 B.C.) and was expanded in 1370, the third year of the reign of Ming Emperor Hongwu. Since 1997, it has been listed as a World Heritage Site.
Qiao Family Buildings
Qiao Family Buildings: Built in 1756, it is a group of well-preserved civilian buildings in Qing Dynasty.
Ancient Pingyao City: First built in 1370, it shows the ancient Chinese architectural style of symmetry.
Jin Ancestral Temple
Jin Ancestral Temple: It was built around 400 A.D. The Hall of Holy Mother, the sculptures, tablets and other historical relics in the temple still remain intact.

Ri Sheng Chang Private Bank: A Building of the earliest old-style private bank in China.
