Day 01
Arrival in Beijing
Day 02
Beijing ( B L )
After Breakfast at hotel, first visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. The move on to the Forbidden City, the complex of imperial palace, which was home to the Emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties for over 500 years.After Chinese lunch, continue to visit the Temple of Heaven, the place where the Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. Then enjoy the tea ceremony at the Tea House.
Continue to visit Summer Palace, the largest imperial garden in China. The Summer Palace was a favorite haunt of the Dowager empress Cixi for her own enjoyment.
Day 03
Beijing ( B L )
First visit the Jade Mall to have a basic knowledge of China jade culture. Then begin the highlight of your Beijing tour, hiking the Great Wall of China, Badaling Great Wall, a massive military defense works which was left from the Ming dynasty. After lunch, drive to the Ming Tombs ( Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs complex ). From the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in this area. You will visit Dingling, the tomb of the Wanli Emperor, which is the only one of the Ming Dynasty Tombs to have been excavated. Back to your hotel.
Day 04
Beijing - Xian ( B L D )
After breakfast, take morning flight for Xian. Met by our English speaking tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Xian. After lunch, your city tour begins with a visit to The Shaanxi Provincial History Museum - a large modern museum of the national level. Then move on to Big Goose Pagoda (Ascending the pagoda is optional). The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China.
Continue to visit the Great Mosque, the biggest and most preserved complete Chinese existent mosque. It was first built at the Tianbao first year (742 years) during Tang Dynasty. After having the local flavor - dumpling dinner, enjoy Tang Dynasty Show in the evening. Transferred back to your hotel.
Day 05
Xian ( B L ）
First visit the Terra-cotta Army. The original site was found by a local farmer drilling a well in 1974. Now it has turned into the most important attraction in Xian - Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum. The museum and the mausoleum are listed the world's cultural legacies as the UNESCO. Shopping at Meitao Arts and Crafts Store.After lunch, drive back to the city center of Xian and visit the Xian City Wall. The main magnet of Xian is the city wall, which is the most complete city wall that has survived in China as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. It was enlarged in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) from the city wall initially built in Tang Dynasty (618 -907).
Day 06
Xian - Chongqing by air ( B D )
Take morning flight for Chongqing. Your afternoon Chongqing tour starts with the visit to Ciqikou Ancient Town. The old town is located in Shapingba district of Chongqing and on the west bank of Jialing River. The majority of the houses date from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Then come back to the city center and visit Stillwell Museum. Stillwell Museum is situated in the Yuzhong District in Chongqing city to commemorate General Joseph W. Stilwell (1883 - 1946) who contributed greatly to the liberation of China during the World War II. After dinner, you are transferred to the Dock for your Yangtze River trip ( overnight on board ).
Day 07
Cruising on the Three Gorges ( B L D )
Continue to cruise on the Yangtze River. Today you will be arranged to have a shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City. Fengdu is the only ghost city in China, which is famous for its ghost culture. First take a cable car up to the hill and visit the temples all over the mountain with many statues. Then, return to the ship and move towards the fantastic Three Gorges.Day 08
Cruising on the Three Gorges ( B L D )
Continiue to cruise on Yangtze River. Today enter the Qutang Gorge Cruise ship carefully pilots its way through the narrow course. At Wushan, disembark the ship and board smaller vessels in order to explore either the Daning River (or Shennong Stream). Reboard the ship and sail through the Wu Gorge.Day 09
Arrival at Yichang and Flight to Shanghai ( B L)
Pass through the Xiling Gorge which is the longest and historically the most dangerous of the Three Gorges. Then move on to the massive the Three Gorges Dam and disembark for a tour of this engineering marvel at Sandouping Village. After lunch on board, You will arrive in in Yichang. Transfer from cruise to airport in Yichang for your flight back to Beijing ( air-ticket included). Met by our tour guide at Beijing airport and take flight for Shanghai. Arrival at Shanghai, met by our English speaking tour guide and transferred to the prearranged hotel in Shanghai. You are at leisure for the remainder of the day.
Day 10
Shanghai ( B L )
First come to People's Square to visit Shanghai Museum. The museum has the selection of over 112,000 Chinese cultural relics from the Old Stone Age to modern times. Then walk along the Nanjing Pedestrian Road. It is regarded as the first commercial street in Shanghai. It was first built in 1851. Now Nanjing Road has turned into the number one site for shopping in the city.Then move on to The Bund, one of the most noted architectural symbols of Shanghai. The Bund, or the waterfront,is now surrounded by about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.
After lunch, continue to visit Yu yuan Garden. Yuyuan is the famous gardens in Shanghai, Located in the center of Shanghai's Old City, one of the few remaining old tourist sites in Shanghai. Close to the gardens is Shanghai's bazaar, a great number of small streets and lanes where vendors sell their products and food stuffs to the tourists and local people.Shopping at a local silk store.
Finally visit the new development zone in Pudong - Lujiazui, which is teeming with the futuristic, avant-garde buildings - Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Building, Bank of China Tower. Taking the elevator to the 88-storey Observation Deck of Jinmao Tower to have a bird's eye view of Huangpu River.
