Basically there are more scheduled flights ( international or domestic ) at Terminal 2 than Terminal 1. But you still need to double check the right terminal you are going to use. Both T2 and T1 are used for domestic and international arrivals and departures. Different air companies use different terminals.

Third Floor for Departure (T1 & T2)

The departure halls ( both T1 & T2) where you fly out from Shanghai are on the third floor.

Both Maglev and Metro on the Second Floor

Both Maglev and Metro are on the second floor in the mid-area of the 700-meter long corridor connecting T1 and T2. So if you are going to take Maglev, you should go to the middle part of the long corridor connecting the two terminals. If you arrive at Shanghai Pudong Airport by Maglev, you find yourself on the second floor between the long corridor linking the two terminals.

  1. Dear Adeline Lim,

    Thanks for your inquiry!

As far as I know, you need to collect your online-booked ticket at Hongqiao Railway Station where you take the highspeed train from Suzhou to Shanghai ( or Shanghai to Suzhou).

Check out the link: Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station:

    https://www.tour-beijing.com/blog/shanghai-travel/shanghai-transportation/shanghai-hongqiao-railway-station

But you can try your luck at the Pudong International Airport train station counter as for the ticket collecting.

Have a good time in China!
