| Day 01: Arrival in Beijing |
Arrive in Beijing, met and transferred to your hotel. Free for the rest of the day.
Beginning the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the world largest square of this kind. Then move on to the imperial palace, also known as the Forbidden City that symbolizes the imperial and traditional China. After lunch go on with the visit to the Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. Back to hotel. ( B L )
Today's highlight is to visit the great wall, symbol of Chinese civilization. After lunch, continue a visit to Dingling, one of the Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors were buried in Ming Dynasty. Peking Duck dinner and Peking Opera Showin the evening. ( B L D )
| Day 04: Beijing--Lhasa by air |
Met by our guide at Lhasa airport and transfered to the downtown Lhasa. On the way, you will be arranged to visit the Nietang Buddha. Stay at your hotel in Lhasa with dinner arranged. ( D )
Morning touring is the Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery. After lunch, go on the visit to the Norbulingka Park and a Tibetan family. Dinner arranged at hotel. ( B L D )
This morning visit the Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery. After lunch, move on to the bazaar of the Barkhor Street. Then head to the Tibetan Traditional Hospital and the Carpet Factory. Dinner arranged at hotel. ( B L D )
| Day 07: Lhasa--Shanghai by air |
Today's highlight is to visit the Tibet Museum. Then transfer to the airport for Shanghai. Met and transfer to your hotel in Shanghai (B). Free for rest of the day.
First visit Yuyuan Garden-a classical Qing Dynasty garden with over 30 pavilions linked by a maze of corridors and bridges over ponds and Shanghai Museum-the selection of over 112,000 Chinese cultural relics from the Old Stone Age to modern times. Then move on to the "Pedestrians only" Nanjing Road. After lunch, take one hour cruising on Huangpu River. Next you will have a nice walk along the Bund. Back to your hotel. ( B L )
