Yunshan Hotel is located in Chengde, 250 kilometers from Beijing, near the largest garden of former imperial family’s “Summer Resort”. The Jingcheng Road is in front of the hotel. About 1 kilometers to the railway station.

he business room was simple, comfortable and clean. Much nicer than your average budget hotel room. The Business suite was large and well appointed. The business suite was large and well appointed. Plenty of room for our travel cot and extra rollaway bed, and room for the children to play and run around besides. Décor not to our taste, but you can’t have everything, Bathroom with separate shower and shallow bath, toilet and sink. Additional bathroom with toilet and sink at room entrance foyer. Sitting room, desk, kitchenette, bedroom, all open plan. 2 TV’s, microwave, tea-making facilities. Both rooms were clean, as were towels and bed linen. Suite has faulty air-con which they didn’t manage to fix (room 1101) although they did try several times and minibar didn’t shut properly either, but they quickly provided extra padding for the hard rollaway bed, and staff were generally trying to be helpful.

Location is good, very close to Imperial Summer Resort. New department store just across the road with supermarket in the basement (handy for milk and other supplies). Plenty of fruit stalls nearby. Also a McDonalds there for those needing their fix.

Good location, VERY clean rooms & bathrooms, Good restaurant, and friendly service. Highly recommended on a visit to Chengde.
