Just a quick email to thank all at Tour Beijing for a wonderful 2 day Chengde tour from Beijing. We have nothing but high praise for your staff and tour guide. The guides spoke English really well and had an amazing knowledge of the local area and history. Our driver was very nice and professional. The hotel in Chengde was good and had a nice location. Located in the northeast part of Hebei Province, Chengde is an ancient city with a history of nearly 300 years. Because there is a spring, which is not frozen perennially, it is named Rehe. To eulogized the “benevolent rule” of his father, Emporer Yongzheng changed the original name into Chengde (inherit the benevolent rule). Chengde, the second political center of the Qing Dynasty, is famous for its wonderful natural landscape, numerous historic sites, and unique customs, Chengde Summer Resort, the biggest ancient royal garden in China, is also the largest existing royal garden in the world. Moreover, there are scenic spots such as Kui Star Tower, Twin Peaks, Hammer Rock at Yefengzhaim Chaoyang Cave, Mountain Tianqiao, Cockscomb Peak, Toad Rock and Mountain Arhat.
Chengde Summer Resort is in the north of Chengde downtown, which is famed for its reputation as the private resort for Chinese emperors during summer. Firstly built in the 42nd year (1703year) of Emperor Kangxi’s reign of the Qing Dynasty, the resort coasted about 90 years to construct, covering 564 hectares
Chengde Mulan Weichang which locates at 450 kilometers northeast to Beijing, is the mot beautiful proairie for you to escaped the city’s summer heat. It is covered with 1,658kms grassland, a really natural famous tour scenic pot.
Located in the north of Chengde Summer Resort, the temple was set up in 36 year of Emperor Qianlong (1771). It was built by Emperor Qiaolong for celebrating his mother’s birthday. It means “Potala Palace” in Tibet language as its thoroughly Zang-style.
The temple of Xuni Fushou corers an area of 36,700 square meters contains Stone Bridge, Stone Lion, Mountain Gate, Place for the sixth Panchen and his disciples’ accommodation, as well as Wanshou Tower.
