Chengde Toad Stone
At the peak of Mt. Xinchui, Chengde citiy, there is a huge rock squatting at the peak. It seems to be a toad from a long distant, so it attained its name: Toad Stone, one of natural scapes of Chengde. The toad stone is 20 meters long and 40 meters high with its head protruding the cliff. Under the abdomen of the stone has two caves, east, west, south and north jointed together. The tourists could enjoy the cool in summer days. The back of the toad stone is consisted of slippery and exquisite nit gravels, making the unique concavo-convex veins. Because the back is more complanate, it could hold about tens of people. A legend said dragon girl ordered it to protect a magic cudgel. It was too responsible to have a little acedia, eventually it melt into stone together with the magic cudgel after a considerable period of time.
