Xian Airport Taxi
If you have much luggage and your hotel in Xian is not close to the downtown shuttle bus stop, you are kindly suggested to take a taxi since it will save you more time for a comfortable transfer. But before you enjoy your ride, you have to bargain with the taxi driver for a reasonable fare, which costs about RMB 100-RMB 120.
Below are some useful tips for taking a taxi at Xian Xianyang International Airport:
1. Just walk out of the arrival hall and follow the taxi sign to the taxi parking lot, about 100 meters in the front.
2. Most of the drivers are not willing to use the meter. So you have to bargain a reasonable price with them ( between RMB 100 and 120)
3. Carpooling are welcomed both by passengers and drivers, a win-win way of taking the taxi. The fare is around RMB 60 per person.

Xian Airport Private Transfer Service
If you don't want to fight with the taxi driver for the airport transfer, then you may pay a little more to have a safe and comfortable private car or van transfer by pre-booking an airport transfer provided by a travel agency or limo travel service. Xian Airport Taxi Shuttle Bus
When you get out of the airport, go straight out the doors and you will see the transit buses in front of you. Its only costs you RMB 25 for the shuttle bus ride. It takes about one hour from the airport to the downtown Melody Hotel. So you will get off at the terminal just in front of the Melody Hotel in the city centre by the Bell Tower.
