Daniel Li,
I am writing to you to thank you very much for our wonderful trip to Xian. The tour that you organised was fantastic. Sorry for the delay in feedback. I thank you for all your prompt and quick replies to our needs and desires for the tour that we took on Feb 10, 2008. You are very professional and provided what we had requested. I enjoyed my tour of Xian - from start to finish. It was most comforting to have my tour guide meet me at the airport. Your tour guide - Ms Mary Ma is exceptional in both her English and her knowledge of her subject. She is to be congratulated.
I have no hesitation in recommending your company to other travellers.
Thank you once again.
Kind regards
Janet Hawke

Huo Qubing, known as an outstanding general as well as the militarist of Xihan Dynasty, he began to conduct campaigns at the age of 18. During his short-lived life, he sent troops beyond the Great Wall to beat to the Huns for six times. He died at the age of 23. In order to commemorate his eximious battle achievement, Han Wu Di constructed a grave of large-scale in the northeast of Maoling.
The surface of the tomb was covered by the natural bricks and stones, which seem to be Qilian Mountain to memorialize his brilliant service in battle on the mountain. In front of the tomb, there are standing various kind of large-size carved animals. The most impressive stone carving is “Horse treads on the Hun”. With a length of 190 centimeters and height of 168 centimeters, the statuary is vividly life like. It calls up the image of the young general galloping across the battle. The horse holds high its head proudly, indicating the posture of Huo Qubing together with his brave army, at the same time under the horse is an old and ugly slave owner from Hun. The carving ploy of the horse and the slave owner are bright contrast. The horse is proportioned, with a simple and pithy style, while the salve owner is roughly carved. Obviously it indexes what is principal and what is secondary in the works. The technique of carve make far-reaching infection for the future development.
