Me and my friend had a great time at Harbin and ice carving world and show world, we had some extra time so Steven Ma ( our local tour guide ) took us to place near Songhua River to see the winter swimming. It was amazing! We had a great time, it was the perfect ending to my trip in China. Dragon Tower ( Long Ta Tower )
Dragon Tower is really a highrise steel beauty. it is the tallest steel tower in China and the second worldwide, totaling 336 meters including its antenna.
The tower is used as the Heilongjiang Broadcast and TV Tower. But it is more than that! It has become a comprehensive multifunctional tower that incorporate the transmission of broadcast and TV, tourism, sightseeing, food and beverage service and much more.
The tower base
The tower base is composed of the underground floor and the first four floors above ground. The base is made into a spherical crown, which houses the sacred altar commemorating our forefather - Yanhuang.
The tower halls
The tower halls are located from 181m to 206m, consisting of a flying saucer in the bottom and a ball-shape hall on the are located from 181m to 206m.
At the height of 181 meters, the "Exciting Ring" is the longest glass walkway in the world with a perimeter of 60 meters. Walking on the transparent glass walkway can make you a little dizzy. No worry! It is safe.
At the height of 186 meters, there is a revolving buffet restaurant. It can house 500 people dining at the same time.
At the height of 190 meter, there is an open view platform circling the main structure. Take care! Usually it is chilly and windy top of the tower.
At the height of 203 meters, located a special showroom to exhibit the cultural relics relative to the religion dating back to the Tang Dynasty.
