My wife, and I have just returned from our exciting side trip to Pingyao for the weekend we spent in Beijing. We have received the most dedicated and professional service from our guide - Mr. Allen Cai and also from the professional driver - Mr.Wang. I cannot speak too highly of the service provided together with the accommodation. My fears about the accommodation in Pingyao was totally unfounded. I found the accommodation in Pingyao is fantastic! It is very comfortable and the service was also very good.

Yamun is the local administration department. Pingyao Yamun is one of the best preserved. Along the axis from south to north are the Entrance Door, Yi Gate, Torn, Liubufang, Grand Hall, Gate, Ertang, Inner House, etc. Grand Hall is the place that ancient officer held grand ceremony and cognizance serious cases. Ever architecture carved couplet which were written by the officer themselves to prize themselves.
Tip: The Yamun put on the performance of Ancient Officers disposing Cases at 10:00, 11:00, 15;30 from Monday to Friday; at 10:00, 11:00 from Saturday to Sunday.
